Woodland Sewing Dreams

Maybe it’s because I live in the woods. Maybe it’s the colors. Maybe it’s because Art Gallery fabrics feel so amazing. Maybe it’s all three. I cannot take my mind off this fabric! Indian Summer by Sarah Watson has arrived and we are busy planning projects, finding inspiration, and basically drooling over every piece in the collection. Art Gallery quilting cotton fabrics boast 120 thread count compared to the 60 count that most quilting weight cottons have. This makes Art Gallery super appropriate for structured garments like Colette Patterns newest addition – Laurel.

Indian Summer is woodland perfection.

Most of us also have pretty well established crushes on Tsuru, Rashida Coleman-Hales latest collection. Here is a hint: Meredith has planned to use this line in her kits for May Sewing Society… prepare to accessorize with some linen and a pop of color! She will preview her Society sample on Saturday morning.
