The Start of the Pow-Wow Quilt

I recently moved into a new apartment and have been in major redesign mode and furniture finding! Every living space is different and major changes like a new sofa can really lead the direction of the other choices and changes. My last living room was rooted in pinks, reds, and golds and I’m seeing turquoise, orange, red, and grey in my current space. New pillows have already been made and I love having a cozy quilt on the sofa ready for lounging.

I’ve started my version of Cluck Cluck Sew’s Pow-Wow Quilt. Maybe it’s a little trendy, being all arrow-y, but in a way it feels very classic as well. Sashed with Kaufman Essex linen/cotton blend (I CAN NOT get enough of this stuff), I think Denyse Schmidt’s 50’s inspired colors and prints really pop.

This will definitely get the frame treatment for the quilting. I can’t wait to see it in my fresh living room. I’ll be sure to share!

Then I will learn from Michelle, the master cushion-maker, the best ways for making professional looking cushions for my mid-century chair. Oh, and because she has the best style, we now have matching shower curtains.

Mere, YOU have the best style! I was simply foreshadowing what your future shower curtain would look like.
