Starry Night Quilt

When Constellations by Lizzy House arrived at MD, I knew I had to make some type of star quilt for my nephew. There are so many different star quilt designs, but I couldn’t find just the right one that would work well with showing all of these lovely prints. I love designing my own quilts and I love piecing with an improv style, this quilt was the combination of the two.

This quilt top is offered as a class, you’ll learn how to piece this star block into various sizes of your choosing. Then play with the arrangement of the stars to create your own starry night!

I’m addicted to using the fabulous Bernina 710 on the quilting frame here at MD. I love how quick, easy, and fun it is to quilt a lap quilt. This only took a few short hours.

Then I binded it using my new favorite machine binding method! *I’ll share the tutorial here soon!*

It looks amazing in our brand new redesigned space, come in and take a look around at the amazing changes happening!

I’m so sorry, unfortunately we don’t have any services like that. Here is a great free tutorial on making a wonky star block: http://www.sewmamasew.com/2013/01/wonky-star-block-tutorial/ Hope that helps!
