Sewing Society Meeting–September

Hi Society Members (and those intereseted)! This Saturday will be our last meeting for the current year. Can you believe it’s been a whole year! We will be talking more soon about the new year and I’m hoping lots of you will join us again. Or if you’re interested in joining for the first time, we’d love to have you!

Sometimes our cooler fall nights would be made more cozy with a light knit scarf. I added some interest (from inspiration from the Purl Bee) and went a step further. The ruching  is quick and easy with elastic thread. We’ll wind some in the meeting so you can get a feel for it.

You may not be able to see it from the photos but this beautiful knit has a light gold sparkle to it. Just enough to provide a bit of glimmer. We’ll be serging the edges with metallic thread, to complement and provide a more “jewelry” like quality. Again, it’s just a touch, but a nice, simple, and effective one.

If you’re not an annual member, you can still join us. See you then!
