Sewing Society, Behind the Scenes

Here at MD I’ve been busy preparing for this Saturday’s first meeting of The Society. Goodies are being assembled!

For every person who attends a meeting, I will be making limited edition sewing-themed buttons. Each month will be a new button and, reminiscent of Girl Scout badges, you will want to collect all ten for this year! I plan on sewing mine to my MD Tote. Remember all annual memberships include an embroidered tote perfect for bringing projects to meetings.

There will be kits! To help you along, I’ve cut and collected the bits you’ll need to complete the Spooky Table Runner. Fabric, batting, thread, and hera marker will be all wrapped up and ready to go home with you. Receive a 15% discount on anything you need during Society meetings, including kits, presser feet and machine accessories.

Plan on participating in Show and Tell. This will be a chance to show off your finished project from last month’s meeting or whatever garment, quilt, or pillow you’ve recently finished! I love getting inspiration from a community of sewists and seeing all the great work others are doing. Plus, those who bring in finished Society projects will be entered for the raffles and other fun giveaways.

We are pretty excited, and if you still haven’t signed up, click here and join Saturday’s fun!
