Sewing Machine Sale at MD!

Baby Lock Imagine

This is kind of a big deal: on June 25th, 26th & 27th, every sewing machine at Modern Domestic will be on sale! That’s right—all of them. Have you been lusting after a Bernina for your quilting pleasure? Maybe you dream of rolling your own hems on the Baby Lock Imagine serger. Perhaps you’ve become attuned to the quiet rhythms of our classroom Janome machines and want to hear it in your own home. Now is your big chance: every machine in store is on sale, including great savings on floor models and classroom machines.

Bernina Aurora 430

If you already know what machine you want, get here early to buy a floor model at our deepest discount. These floor machines have only been used for demos since we opened in March, so they are in mint condition; they come with a 2-Year parts and labor warranty as well as free machine instruction. If you want one of these machines, don’t hesitate—we only have one of each model on the floor!

Janome DC2010

Classroom machines are also deeply discounted: the Janome DC2010 machines are $100 off and the Bernina Activa 220 machines are $150 off! If you’ve taken a class at Modern Domestic, you know how great these models feel—but you’ve probably only scratched the surface of what they can do. With your purchase of one of them, you’ll get free in-depth classes here at Modern Domestic that will cover all the features of these great machines.

Bernina Aurora 450 Fashionista

If you want to take your sewing to the next level, our Bernina Aurora models (430, 440QE, and 450) are up to $300 off. These easy-to-use sewing computers will support your creative designs with the highest standards of fit and finish. The reputation of these fine machines is well-deserved: the exclusive features and build quality will last a lifetime. Bernina is also offering financing with their own credit card, and you can apply online before the sale or while you’re at our store.

Bernina presser feet

If you’re not sure which machine is right for you, or even if you aren’t in the market for a machine, you should drop in for the weekend event. We will be happy to explain the ins and outs of the machines we carry. We are also offering a 20% discount on all extension tables and presser feet, including special orders as well as in-stock items. We carry both Bernina and Janome feet, but are able to order many more brands. If you already have a machine and need some presser feet, come in or call with your machine make and model and we’ll help you out.

    Hi-

There are two different types of bias binding feet for Berninas – the #85 (Bias Binder) and the #84 (Binder Attachment) which has 3 different sizes. I prefer the #84 as it seems to be less finicky. It is an attachment very similar to the Clover Bias Tape Maker allowing you to insert a flat strip of fabric and it double folds it while you are stitching. You can check out the differences between the two types on the Bernina website:

I came in the other day looking for a felting presser foot for my Bernina Activa 230. I just found it on Bernina’s website: it’s called a needle punch tool: http://www.bernina.com/product_detail-n26-i92-sEN.html

Can I use this on my machine? Will you be able to carry it/order it? Can you give me a price quote?

Thanks, MD! Glad you’re in the neighborhood!

I’m interested in a Bernina walking foot for a Bernina 1630. What would be the cost of the foot and the shipping charges? Thanks. Sheila

  8. lupine

We can certainly order you that foot, there would not be shipping charges. The cost would be $160. If you order and pay for it during the sale this weekend, that would be 20% off. Please feel free to call and let us know if you would like it ordered and leave your payment. 503-808-9910
