Let’s hear it for the local girls! 2nd Avenue Studio is one of our quilt frame teacher extraordinares, Rachel Kerley, who always has a funny story and work in progess to share. Jill of TabSlot is one of my fave customers, equally funny and original. So any collaboration of theirs is worth noting!

They’ve put together an Idea Book for layout options. I’m digging “Leaves on a Vine” or “Echoing Circles.” How cute are they? I’ve got my set and am ready to get playing. I’ve gathered a fabric selection of navy and coral. You can blame Lizzy House for that. I know Outfoxed is a little old. But I adore these hedgehogs!

Jill of TabSlot has lots of great templates for modern quilting. Going on my wish list are the New Wave and Retro Flowers templates. Love. My sewing brain has been mush lately and I like the idea of quilting. It keeps me doing something…not mindless but almost never-ending. Repetition. My goal is to get something worked up so I can frame quilt it!
