On the Road: Sew Expo, Puyallup, WA

Saturday morning, Michelle and I headed north to spend the day at Sew Expo in Puyallup. The plan was to meet with Amy and Alice from the BERNINA Corporate marketing and team up to search for some new sewing trends.

There were all sorts of pattern companies, fabric lines, retail stores with booths, machine dealerships, and much more. We got stuck in the BERNINA booth for awhile, chatting with our friends and smiling and blowing kisses to the machines.

We ran into lots of old friends and customers from our days of being notions and fabric sales reps. It was nice to see familiar faces and get a taste of so many stores all under one roof.

We ran into a gaggle of friends from the Portland Modern Quilt Guild, including Susan, on their way to get coffee with fabric from Pendelton and some pretty Lotta Jansdotter fabric they had grabbed. Funny that we ended up with the same two purchases!

Michelle is going to make another quilt and I am going to whip up some napkins and a table runner from this Lotta Jansdotter fabric
