I got a chance to play with this nifty little narrow guy at BERNINA University back in July. I think he could find a place in a lot of our teachers’s and customer’s hearts (Anna Joyce, I’m talking to you here). I’m totally getting one! What might seem complicated is really quite easy and when I realized what it actually did, I couldn’t believe how brilliantly simple it is. Want to sew decorative stitches in a circle, perfectly? No problem–use the Circular Embroidery Attachement.
It screws into the arm of the machine, into one of the holes right of the stitch plate.
Now’s the “duh” moment. Under the rubber stopper is a sharp pin. Pierce the fabric either at a corner or in the center. This will act like a compass. As the feed dogs move the fabric will swing around the pin.
See–it lines up perfectly. Amazing!
