Little basket + long handles = Social Tote!
Carolyn Friedlander designed this basket pattern with Anna Graham (of Noodlehead) and it could not be more perfect for keeping project supplies together, including threads and closures. Or imagine keeping one next to your machine for those small bits that tend to get lost on your table.
We’ve been having a great time with Diane Gilleland teaching english paper piecing. Hexies, diamonds, and pentagons–keep your templates, needles, and thread cozy together.
Instead of quilting with batting to provide structure, the pattern designer recommends quilting with Soft & Stable (which we have!). This has a light, thin foam-like quality that was easy to sew and bind. I combined Robert Kaufman’s Railroad Denim with Michael Miller neon and quilted with neon thread!
