This weekend is a busy one at Modern Domestic. We will have our usual friday night fun, followed by a busy Saturday including the first session of the Asymmetrical Wrap Skirt, Ties for Tying, and the Portland Modern Quilt Guild Sewing Night.
Sunday is busting at the seams with classes as well. Susanna Scott will teach the first of many Silkscreen classes, Sally Hess is going to spend the day with us getting people all dialed in on using their Sergers, making cloth diapers, and getting started sewing with knits in her T-shirt class. Speaking of Sally, did you have a chance to peek at her list of great tools and supplies for garment sewing over here? It looks very much like what we provide in the MD tool kits. Come and try these out sometime. You may never feel the same way about sharp scissors again.
As we wrap up our fist ever spring of sharing the love of sewing and all things fabric and making at MD, we only get more excited for what lies ahead. Fall is going to bring more amazing classes, talented teachers and new adventures to MD.
