Modern Domestic Sewing Society

We have spent the last few weeks dreaming up the most delightful, inspiring, and educational sewing club imaginable. We hope you love it as much as we do! There are still a few details to work out, but things are coming together nicely, so it feels like we can begin to share some bits about the MD Sewing Society, or The Society for short.

The Society will meet monthly on Saturday mornings. Meetings will be about an hour, and you will get to try out techniques, get project instructions, see friends that sew, make new ones, receive a discount on product and select classes. Annual members, those signing up for all 10 months of classes, will receive even more perks. They will get a special MD tote bag, Open Sewing Punch Card, and MD Scout Book to take club notes in!

The best part by far are the projects! They are modern, seasonally appropriate, and use some super cool presser feet and sewing techniques that are really worth knowing! There are more details to come, the first Society meeting is October, and the projects are perfect for Halloween! You can of course come just to one meeting and purchase them individually, and we sure hope you do!

What a fun idea. Can’t wait to hear more.

This looks like such a neat thing to be a part of. Can’t wait for more details! I selfishly hope that Society meetings are during the day when kids are at school (so much easier to not have to arrange child care or work around the small one’s after school activities).

Even though I don’t sew much anymore, other than face cradle covers for my massage practice, this sounds so, sew fun!
