Kids Can Sew!

We are excited to be entering a new chapter of kids sewing classes at MD. While we are totally bummed to see Shelly Figueroa step away from teaching all the kids sewing classes, we are so happy for the fabulous growth of her beautiful children’s pattern line: Figgy’s Patterns. Shelly brought light-hearted fun, a great attitude, and loads of skills to all the kids classes she taught.Luckily, the call went out to the teaching staff that we needed a new kids sewing teacher and with enthusiasm, skill, and experience, Nicole Morgenthau jumped in! Nicole has been teaching kids and sewing up a storm for years. Her projects are darling and her upcoming Kids Sewing 101 class starts really soon. If you have a child who would like to get started sewing, this is a great time.

8 years old is the fabulous age a child needs to be to sign up for sewing classes. There are a few changes to the projects, to include some new skills like buttonholes (eek!) in the very first kids class. If you know someone who is ready and waiting to get started, click through to sign them up.

The zipper pouch is perfect for little things.
