Part of what we’re happy to provide to our BERNINA machine owners is quality education. It starts with your first Machine Owner Class where we cover the basics–proper threading, buttonhole making, memory functions, Temporary Altered Stitch Memory, plus more! But your machine can do so much more and I’d love for you to join me for my two new BERNINA classes, Specialty Presser Feet and Needles and Thread.
BERNINA is known for having every possible presser foot for any application you might encounter while sewing. While we cover feet like the #18 Button Sew-On and #20 Open Embroidery in the Machine Owner Class, wouldn’t it be nice to try EVEN MORE? In Specialty Presser Feet, I tried to choose both functional and decorative feet. The goal is always to teach sewists how to get the most out of your sewing machine and execute beautifully made projects. In a Round Robin style, I’ll demo a range of specialty presser feet and then you’ll get a chance to sit down and try them out yourself. Enticed by the concept of sewing complete and perfect circles? Have an affinity for never ending ruffles? Want to make hemming or piping easier? Tired of sewing binding on anything from potholders to quilts? You’ll have so much fun discovering what the Circular Embroidery Attachment, Ruffler, and Binder Attachment can do for you!
Ever hear of a wing needle and wondered what that means and what you would do with it? I’m really excited about offering this new class, Needles and Thread. Schmetz brand needles and BERNINA sewing machines are the perfect marriage of design and functionality! Come prepared to geek out on some unique needles that can provide beautiful details to your work. You’ll produce samples with metallic thread and needles, explore decorative hemstitches with a wing and double wing needle, and play with double eye needle and triple needle for multi-color decorative stitch work. Plus, find out why a leather needle is your best option for soft leather stitching. Why you may even get a chance to try more presser feet (hint hint)!
I will continue to offer these classes monthly (and eventually rotate specialty presser feet) and they are ALWAYS free to sewists who purchased a machine with us. Give us a call to sign up but space is limited! You can always find out what BERNINA classes we’re offering here in the webstore.
