February Sewing Society: Fabric Basket

Our 2015/2016 Sewing Society is working through Handmade Style, the fabulous book by Anna Graham of Noodlehead. This month’s project we made a fabric basket, utilizing some of our favorite canvas and cotton fabrics. A basket like this is the perfect avenue to showcase beautiful, large scale prints.

Recommendations from Sewing Society Teachers:

Erica likes the idea of creating this basket in a variety of sizes. Use the pattern provided in Handmade Style to scale smaller or larger baskets to nest together!

If you are new to curved seams this is a good place to start! Karin likes this basket because it’s a nice introduction to sewing curves and learning how to ease fabric into a seam.
