Valentine’s day is tomorrow, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve procrastinated until the last minute and haven’t even come up with a so much as a card for your beloved. Luckily, with some scrap fabric, paper, and a sewing machine, you can whip up an adorable card in minutes.
First, grab some mid-to-heavy weight paper, fold it in half, and cut it to the desired size. Then find some cute fabric scraps and cut out a few hearts.
Lay your hearts on the front of the card to figure out where you want to position them.
Stitch close to the edge around each heart using a straight or zigzag stitch.
You could also throw a row or two of cute decorative stitching on the front or inside of the card. Our Berninas have a wide array of adorable stitches, including a couple of different styles of hearts:
Minutes later, you have a cute handmade, one-of-a-kind card for your sweetheart.
Come in this afternoon and stitch up some last-minute Valentine’s love with us! Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Modern Domestic.
