COVID-19 Shop Update

It’s time for a shop update! 

Update June 2021:

According to Oregon Health authority following CDC guidelines masks are no longer required indoors as of June 30. As we diligently and thoughtfully follow state guidelines, masks are now optional for vaccinated guests inside Modern Domestic stores Tuesday-Sunday, 12-4pm. If you would like to shop in a fully masked environment you are invited to schedule a private shopping appointment Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-12pm.

Thank you for taking this past year in stride and following safety guidelines in order to keep each other healthy! We ask that all guests be mindful before visiting a public space – stay home if you are feeling sick and wash hands regularly. We will continue to follow national, state, and county direction and will update you to any changes with store policies in accordance with safety guidelines.

Masks Optional for Vaccinated Guests

Non-vaccinated guests are encouraged to wear a mask to protect against COVID-19. We will not require proof of vaccination.

Sanitize Your Hands

Clean hands is one of the simplest ways to protect against COVID-19. Hand sanitizer is provided for you upon entry.

If you or anyone close to you has had cold or flu-like symptoms please stay home.

Virtual Machine Owner Classes are available for free to those who purchase a BERNINA or bernette machine at Modern Domestic. While our in-store classes have been postponed, this Resource Guide will help you continue sewing education online.

    Just last week, I was looking at your website at some of your summer camp offerings which my daughter has participated in in the past. Now I can’t find them on your site. I see the note that all classes have been postponed due to the coronavirus. Do you anticipate holding the summer camps or fully cancelling them? Thank you.

    Thanks so much for your question. At this time it is in the best interest of teachers and students to cancel upcoming kids camps. However, we will announce classes and camps as soon as they are back up and running!

    I have attempted to order online several times this week. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful. Many products turned out to be “out of stock” which makes it more difficult to choose color combos when you are planning a new project. Just fyi. Laura

    What about a scholarship program, customers buy in to support a child’s class tuition when that is feasible( on line or in small classes with physical distancing and masks) thus supporting the community? Customers can donate machines and fabric. Kids can design their own masks etc.?????
