Skill Level: Learn to Sew, ages 15 and up
Learn to sew on our classroom BERNINAs! Sew Basic is the first class for the new sewist, someone who “hasn’t sewn in years,” or for someone who is interested in learning how to use our classroom machines for open sewing or classes.
In this two-hour class we will teach you how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin, sample some of our favorite presser feet, and make a small drawstring bag. You will leave this class feeling confident on our classroom machines at Modern Domestic and ready to start your first sewing project or take one of our ‘Learn to Sew” Classes.
Class includes all supplies and a one-time free studio rental pass good for a single session of independent studio time in our NE Portland classroom. (One-time use only up to 7 hours. Mon-Sat, 10am-5pm. First come, first serve. Subject to studio availability.)
