Learn to Sew: Invisible Zipper Pillow

Skill Level: Learn to Sew + Beginner*, ages 15 and up

Class length: 1 session, 2.5 hours // Monday June 26th, 5:30-8:00

Dress up your sofa with a new decorative throw pillow! You’ll learn how to install an invisible zipper (it’s easy, we promise!) for a professional-looking finish. This class is perfect for first-time sewists and for beginners who want to gain confidence using our BERNINA sewing machines.

All class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please purchase supplies in advance of your class. You are welcome to purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. If you plan to shop in-store for supplies the day of your class, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.

Supply List:

– ½ yard of quilting cotton

– 16” invisible zipper

– 18” square pillow form

– 1 spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread

*Skill Level: Learn to Sew – You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
