In-Person Learn to Sew: Invisible Zipper Pillow, Alberta St. Store, Sunday, October 16th, 2-5pm

Skill Level: Learn to Sew, ages 15 and up.

Dress up your sofa with a new decorative throw pillow! You’ll learn how to install an invisible zipper (it’s easy, we promise!) for a professional-looking finish. This class is perfect for first-time sewists and for beginners who want to gain confidence using our BERNINA sewing machines.

Supply List:
• Main Fabric: 5/8th yard quilting-weight cotton
• 18” invisible zipper
• 18” pillow form
• Wash-away Wonder Tape
• Coordinating all-purpose thread to match your main fabric (such as Mettler Metrosene Plus.)

Please note: You will only have time to make one 18” pillow during class-time, but you will leave with the skills to make as many pillows as you want, in varying sizes, on your own time! All supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic.

What is a “Learn to Sew” Class at Modern Domestic? You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
