Learn to Sew: Holiday Stocking

Skill Level: Learn to Sew*, ages 15 and up
Get ready for the holidays with this easy to sew fully lined stocking project. In class, you will learn techniques to create a fold over contrasting cuff and a loop for hanging. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of decorative stitching in our classroom 400 series BERNINA machines and add decorative stitches to your stocking!
All class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please purchase supplies in advance of your class. You are welcome to purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. If you plan to shop in-store for supplies the day of your class, we recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early.
Supply List:
– 2 Fat Quarters or 3/8 yard Cotton fabric (exterior fabric)
– 2 Fat Quarters or 3/8 yard Cotton fabric (lining fabric)
– 1 spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread
– 3/8 yard Fusible Fleece Interfacing
– 1/2in Twill Tape
– Optional: One Decorative Button
*Skill Level: Learn to Sew – You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
