Learn to Sew: Envelope Pillow

A decorative throw pillow is such an easy way to spruce up your home! You’ll learn how to cut straight lines using a rotary cutter and ruler, how to use a sewing machine, and how to sew a hem. This class is perfect for first-time sewists and for beginners who want to gain confidence using our BERNINA sewing machines. Please note: You will only have time to make one 18” pillow during class-time, but you will leave with the skills to make as many pillows as you want, in varying sizes, on your own time!

Supply List:

• 1 yard quilting-weight cotton
• 18” pillow form
• Coordinating all-purpose thread to match your main fabric (Recommend Mettler Metrosene.)

  All supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please purchase supplies in advance of your class. If you plan to shop for supplies the day of your class we recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early.

Skill Level: Learn to Sew, ages 15 and up.
Learn to Sew: You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
