Learn to Sew: Cloth Napkins
June 17, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm PDT
$42
Alberta St Store, Friday, June 17th, 5-7pm
These napkins are the perfect finishing touch for any host. You will learn beginner skills in cutting, ironing and hemming. This class is perfect for first-time sewists and for beginners who want to gain confidence using our classroom BERNINA sewing machines. These napkins have mitered corners for fancy finish, perfect for the picnic and barbecue season. This class makes two 16” square napkins, but we know you’ll definitely be whipping up more!
Supply List:
- 1/2 yard of mid-weight cotton. Napkins work best with fabric that has no discernible right or wrong side. Recommend fabrics: Essex, Manchester or Kona
- 1 spool small Mettler Metrosene all-purpose polyester thread in color to match fabric
All supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please purchase supplies in advance of your class. If you plan to shop for supplies the day of your class we recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early.
Skill Level: Learn to Sew, ages 15 and up.
Learn to Sew: You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
