Learn to Sew: Canvas Tote

Skill Level: Learn to Sew*, ages 15 and up
Make this fun, useful tote bag out of your favorite fabrics! You will learn easy techniques to cut out your fabric pieces, sew a pocket, add shape at the bottom, and attach the straps.
This class is perfect for first-time sewists and beginners who have sewn a little but want to gain confidence using our BERNINA sewing machines.
Please purchase supplies in advance of your class. All supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. If you plan to shop for supplies the day of your class we recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early.
Supply List:
– 1 Yard Canvas or Twill Fabric
– 2 yards of 1” or 1-1/4” Cotton Webbing
– 1 spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread (Color match with exterior fabric is recommended)
*Skill Level: Learn to Sew – You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
