Learn to Sew: Artist Tool Roll

Skill Level: Learn to Sew*, ages 15 and up

 

In this three-hour class you will make your own pencil roll that can be used to hold favorite pens, pencils, or paint brushes. You will gain experience measuring, cutting, pressing, and stitching on our classroom BERNINA 400 Series sewing machines. This class is perfect for all ages and is a great class for a new sewist. We will cover sewing machine basics – there is no previous sewing experience required! 

 

All class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please purchase supplies in advance of your class. You are welcome to purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. If you plan to shop in-store for supplies the day of your class, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.

Supply List:

– Two Fat Quarters (one printed and one solid)

– 1 yd Twill Tape, Cord, or Ribbon (any width)

– 1 spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread 

 

*Skill Level: Learn to Sew – You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
