Garment Lab: Make & Mend
April 25 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm PDT
An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until April 25, 2023
Instructor: Amy Karol
Skill Level: All Levels, ages 15 and up
Come with a project of your choice (at any point in the process) and a sense of humor, and you’ll receive the customized help to make your project become a reality! This lab is great for all levels, focusing on what you want to learn—garment fitting, finishing, craft sewing, and new techniques. New projects are not required, altering existing clothes is welcome!
Your supplies may be available for purchase at Modern Domestic! You are welcome to purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. If you plan to shop in-store for supplies the day of your class, we recommend arriving at least 45 minutes early.
Whatever your specific project requires. If working on a garment, make sure to wash and dry your fabric first.
Modern Domestic Labs provide technique instruction within an open sew group format. You’re interested in sewing in a group setting and prefer to have an instructor’s guidance on specific techniques and/or skills that are proposed in the Lab’s topic. You have the ability to sew at your own pace, the expert help to keep you on track and sewing along, and a variety of options (sometimes endless!) when it comes to choosing the project you want to sew.
