Saturday evening at Modern Domestic was just lovely. Elizabeth Hartman joined us for an evening of special quilt love and signed copies of her beautiful new book The Practical Guide to Patchwork.
After people had the chance to meet her, get their books signed, and ask all sorts of questions, we moved right onto sewing with the Portland Modern Quilt Guild.
Some of the quilts have gone home (one with me, and boy am I feeling super lucky), but many remain at the shop as samples for a whole bunch of amazing upcoming classes! Elizabeth has created a variety of new quilting classes that will get new quilters started and more experienced quilters perfecting their skills.
All of these classes will take you through completing a quilt (or pillow) from patchwork to quilting and finishing. Many of the patterns are from the book, and all are going to be a great way to spend some time this winter!
