T-Shirts

Skill Level: Beginner

In this class you’ll gain confidence working with knits, and learn several methods for making everybody’s favorite wardrobe staple. You’ll have the opportunity to try a serger, as well as learn how to construct a t-shirt entirely by sewing machine.

PATTERN REQUIRED: Jalie 2805* (available at MD & Bolt)

  • Jersey knit, prewashed in yardage required for size and sleeve style desired. We will make View C, the V-neck t-shirt in class. You can choose from cap, short, 3/4, or full sleeve. Sleeve length will affect the amount of fabric needed. Consult the size chart on the pattern for more specifics around yardage required.
  • Swedish Tracing Paper*
  • Wash-Away Wonder Tape*
  • Thread to match*
  • Schmetz stretch twin needle*
  • Schmetz ballpoint/jersey needle*
